Padmasri Prof. T. V. Ramakrishnan completed his B.Sc and M.Sc in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He obtained his Ph.D. from Columbia University, New York, USA. He started his professional career from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
Prof. Ramakrishnan has made seminal contributions to the scaling theory of electron localization. He also contributed to the theory of liquid to solid transition and of mixed valance systems.
He is currently Emeritus Professor of Physics at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
